Mission: McDuffie Returns June 3-7, 2012
Mission: McDuffie is an area-wide service project, involving a dozen churches in McDuffie County, Georgia. In 10 years of M:McD, 200 houses have been transformed, but even more lives have been changed.
In 2011 alone: 150 teenagers and 40 adults participated, giving us a total of 190 participants.
Our 34 projects this year included: yardwork (some very extensive), houses painted (many with minor repair work), multiple decks constructed and repaired, 4 wheel chair ramps built, and 1 house re-roofed!
We estimated that with 190 people working for 16 hours this week at minimum wage, we donated $22,340 of labor to our community! That does not include the cost of materials!
